Journey to Täsch
Whether by train or car: You’ll find us right across from the Täsch train station. Train travelers arrive at their destination immediately upon getting off the train. Drivers can use our outdoor parking spaces next to the hotel or the nearby Parking Schaller underground garage. It’s the perfect start to your trip in the region or to Zermatt. As a hotel guest, you can also take advantage of our shuttle service to Zermatt: CHF 7.– per trip or CHF 14.– for a round trip. For more information, please ask at the front desk.
Car
Arrival by car
You can drive your car to the village of Täsch, which is located about five kilometers before Zermatt. Once you reach Täsch, stay on the main road until you see the golden locomotive on your left. That’s where you’ll find the “Parking Schaller” parking garage, which has over 160 parking spaces. In front of the parking garage, there are four parking spaces equipped with so-called “hyper-chargers,” each offering a charging capacity of up to 400 kW.
As a direct booker, you’ll receive a 25% discount at Parking Schaller when booking in advance or a 15% discount when paying on-site.
Alternatively, you can park your car in our outdoor parking lot right next to the building for CHF 10.– per 24 hours. Please note that reservations are not possible.
Train
Arrival by train
Täsch is easily accessible by train. Get off at the Täsch train station, which is served by trains coming from Visp or Zermatt. The Matterhorn Inn is located directly across from the station, so you’ll be right at our doorstep as soon as you get off the train.

Can I charge my electric car at the Matterhorn Inn?
Yes, there are two charging stations for electric cars right next to the Matterhorn Inn in Täsch. The AC charging stations feature Type 2 connectors with a charging capacity of up to 22 kW. Information on current charging rates and payment options is available on site.
Can I go on hikes or bike tours directly from the Matterhorn Inn?
Yes, Täsch offers numerous hiking trails and biking routes that start right in the village. We especially recommend the Europaweg trail across the Täschalp toward Zermatt—a wonderful way to explore the alpine landscape around the Matterhorn. Our team will be happy to give you personalized tips for your trip.

The Matterhorn Inn is just a one-minute walk from the Täsch train station. From there, the Zermatt Shuttle takes you to car-free Zermatt in about 12 minutes. This makes it easy to reach Zermatt’s mountain railways, hiking trails, and attractions by train. If you book directly with us, you’ll receive a 25% discount there for advance bookings or a 15% discount if you pay on site.
